Collection: The Last Cut

In my second selection of work, 'The Last Cut', many of the drawings and paintings record the fields across the Cound Brook, just below Berrington, and which face Cantlop. These fields have wonderful names: Upper Foxholes, Big Grinders, Warings Ley, Cox's Dale and Black Ditch. I have tried to capture the feeling of this quiet landscape, it's gentle nature, before it is changed forever. There are plans for these fields to become a solar site, so this year's arable crops, may be the last.
