Spring?
Is it too early to welcome Spring?
I certainly welcome more light as I have been busy working in the studio making work for Dulwich Artists' Open House in 9th/10th May, where I am looking forward to showing paintings and drawings with my sister Susan Wadsworth, also an artist, at her home in Dulwich, just a 10min walk across Dulwich Park from Dulwich Picture Gallery. I will be showing new work from Shropshire, Dulwich Park and my sister’s garden.
My sister, Susan Wadsworth works with paint and collage, drawing inspiration from her garden, urban graffiti and fairground art, with an inventive emphasis on colour.
Do save the date, Sat 9th and Sun10th May. It would be great to see you!

When you subscribe you will get a second email to confirm that you want to receive my newsletter. I'm afraid that if you miss this or don't submit it, you will not get a newsletter. There are quite a few 'pending' subscribers so if you have not been receiving my newsletters it may be that you need to confirm. Apologies for the long explanation!

The Garden
When we moved into the Shippen, the garden was a grassed area bordered by a traditional mixed hedge. It was a blank canvas. Wildegoose Nursery planned and planted a wonderful mix of perennials and grasses that have matured into a haven for birds and insects.
Seasonal sketches of the garden will be for sale in the Garden Collection and Available Work.

Cantlop
Cantlop is the geographic centre of Shropshire. The name was first recorded in the Domesday Book as Cantelop and could have been named by Norman knights, from chante lou (sing wolf). These days it is a slightly untidy settlement of houses, converted barns and farms, and is pleasantly unremarkable, with the exception of the historic Cantlop Pump.
