Winter

The Winter Weekend at Wildegoose Nursery is now over for another year. It was a wonderful few days to visit the nursery where you could enjoy the garden, buy all sorts of fabulous things and enjoy delicious food in the tearoom. There you could also see a small collection of my new paintings and drawings, and I was overjoyed that so many came, supported and bought! Thank you, it is much appreciated.

I have put all of the work online, even the sold pieces, so if you hadn't been able to visit you could have a sort of viewing.

Also online there are new greetings cards!

The Garden

When we moved into the Shippen, the garden was a grassed area bordered by a traditional mixed hedge. It was a blank canvas. Wildegoose Nursery planned and planted a wonderful mix of perennials and grasses that have matured into a haven for birds and insects.

Seasonal sketches of the garden will be for sale in the Garden Collection and Available Work.

Cantlop

Cantlop is the geographic centre of Shropshire. The name was first recorded in the Domesday Book as Cantelop and could have been named by Norman knights, from chante lou (sing wolf). These days it is a slightly untidy settlement of houses, converted barns and farms, and is pleasantly unremarkable, with the exception of the historic Cantlop Pump.
